Several years ago, one of my favorite paintings, Hillside with Wildflowers (above), was stolen from an exhibit of my work. Somehow, the fact that this painting was stolen by someone I don't know feels different to me than paintings of mine that are purchased by strangers. I miss this one so much more, not knowing where it is. But, all is not lost, because I scanned this painting before putting it on display. Since I have a digital scan of this painting, I can now print it on my new Epson R3000 printer! The result is absolutely stunning--a virtually perfect replica of the original, minus the texture of the oil paint, of course. However, the lovely watercolor paper I use for my prints produces the colors and brushstrokes so wonderfully, it gives the illusion of texture. This print is one of almost 60 prints available at my Etsy store. Hillside with Wildflowers, is available here.
