I have been wanting to paint hay bales for a long time. Maybe it is because I live in farm country and they are ubiquitous to the landscape, or maybe it is because I just love their shape. I was experimenting with the rather fantastical/impressionistic color palette I used. I've not yet decided if I think it works... However, I do like how it looks when framed.
